49ers Kyle Shanahan reveals likelihood of Mac Jones trade

The have two quality quarterbacks on their roster.  One, of course, is Brock Purdy, who they've got on a huge contract for the foreseeable future.  The other is Mac Jones, the backup who played admirably in place of Purdy for stretches of the 2025 season.  Jones has one season remaining on his contract before he'll become a free agent, and in part because of how well he played filling in for Purdy, he's viewed as a potential trade target for teams that need a quarterback.  But will the 49ers trade Jones? They need someone good there.  And they know that Jones is more than good enough to get the job done when called upon.
